This is the new cover to my first book. Since I am now writing it’s sequel and ultimately I didn’t like the cover I started with. I decided to change the cover updating this change. Stalked is still a stand-alone book set in a small town around St. Patrick’s Day. It’s about a woman left at the altar, a divorced man wanting to put his past behind him and start over again with someone new.

This book also involves a serial killer, who spends his time stalking and killing women who fit a specific criteria. Janet Reynolds fits this to a T, with in the course of everything she finds herself in the eye of the killer. The big mystery is who is the killer?

Lastly if anyone out there is willing to review this book on Amazon or Goodreads I would gladly be able to accommodate. Just shoot a mail over to jvargovich@gmail.com.  I ask to mail me so I can keep track of who has a copy.

As always if anyone ever has any questions or concerns please feel free to get in touch with me, as I always have time for readers.

Have a great day!!

Book: Stone Wear
By Marilyn Lakewood
Genre: Erotic Romance/BDSM
Goodreads Book Link
Synopsis

When a woman who loves too deeply meets a man who doesn’t love at all, something’s got to give.
32 year old photographer, Jillian Ingram, fills the emptiness in her life with single-minded commitment to work. After the death of her dominant husband, she avoids all reminders of her past and denies her yearning to submit to another man…but when masterful Nick Colton promises to fulfill three of her deepest fantasies, it’s a temptation she can’t refuse. He’s the perfect Dom – hardcore, generous, and temporary. His offer of a weekend affair suits her perfectly, because for a long-term relationship, Jillian needs the one thing that Nick can’t give…love.
37 year old Nick Colton doesn’t want romance. Burned by a recent divorce, all he requires now is a night or a weekend with a woman who likes cuffs, clamps, and hard sex. No talk of long-term relationships and especially love. He’s given up finding that one special submissive who’s strong enough to surrender to his control—until he meets Jillian, the woman of his hottest fantasies. But Jillian’s commitment to her career is as strong as Nick’s aversion to relationships, and when their weekend ends, they must each decide if a commitment to temporary should be a commitment to forever.

Marilyn and her husband live in the northwest U.S., not too far from the Canadian border. She thinks the long, cold winters are perfect “writing weather.” Most of the time, she doesn’t mind the short days, or the snow—except when she needs to drive in a blizzard, in the dark.
Marilyn started writing sexy stories “just for fun” and she’ll joyously admit she’s obsessed with creating hard-core dominant heroes and happily-ever-after endings.
Writing erotic romance lets her explore love, passion, and sex, through the lens of different characters and settings. It’s also a way to keep her imagination kindled during the September to March “cold snap.” Marilyn loves music, flowers, sci-fi and romance movies, and taking daily walks with Precious, her rescued dog.
She’s a country girl at heart, and although she imagines travelling to distant, romantic shores, her favorite place is home with her family.

WebsiteREVIEW by Jacquelyn Vargovich

Recently I had the sheer pleasure to read Stone Wear by Marilyn Lakewood. Words cannot describe this book. I am a loss for words, which is not my usual self, especially with reviews. I will be honest; I usually do not read novels on this nature. This one is a true exception to that rule, I was captivated from the beginning. When Nick’s boat crashed I fell hard for every character. This book is beyond five stars; I would give it ten if I could. It is very well written and interesting. This book will not disappoint anyone who reads. I hope to have another chance to read her books in the future.

Stone Wear Excerpt 1 PG

“You’re avoiding me.” Nick stood in the darkened living room, gazing out the picture window. Jill’s silhouette reflected on the glass, backlit by the hall light as she crept toward the kitchen.
Her head jerked in his direction, and she slapped a hand to her chest. “You scared me!”
“I must. You’ve taken serious evasive measures. I showered in the boat and fifteen minutes later, when I came inside, you’d already retreated to your room.”
She drew herself up. Nick imagined a porcupine bristling with quills.
“Listen to me, Mr. Colton, I’ve been gracious letting you stay here, but you have no right to question me or my whereabouts.”
“I’d like to be the man who does have the right.” He turned to face her. “I’d like to be the man who controls you, the man you surrender to.”
She shook her head and looked away. “No one controls me now.”
A few steps brought him close enough to tip her head toward him. “But someone did. Someone you called Sir. Am I right?” Her breathy little sound of surprise made his cock jerk.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Yes, you do. Let’s not play that game. You’re taking pictures for Stone Wear, a company that makes clothes for dominant men. Men who believe in, or practice BDSM…at least in their sexual life. You know exactly what I’m talking about and you know I’m one of those men. Or do you want to deny that too?”
She tried to shift away. “Why are we having this conversation?”
He cupped his hand on her cheek to keep her still. “Why are you so nervous about it?”
“I’m not nervous.” She backed up.
“Yes, nervous, and you’re avoiding me. Why?” He took a step closer and she bolted, spinning away and retreating to the kitchen.
She flicked on every light she could find and went to the fridge. He stood in the doorway, watching her while she poured some skim milk into a cup and went to the microwave.
“Do you usually have trouble sleeping?”
“It’s been worse the last two days.”
Because of him?
“Did you eat anything tonight?”
“No.” She pulled the warm milk out of the oven and sipped.
“Today?”
She shook her head.
“I’ll make you a sandwich.” When she started to decline, he added, “I won’t touch you.”
She squinted at him. “Promise?”
Skeptical little thing. “Yes, I promise to fix you a sandwich and not touch you…tonight. Unless you swoon into my arms.”
She chuckled. “I’m not the swooning type.”
“Good, remember that after you’ve tasted the sandwich I make you.” He went to the fridge and pulled out the needed items. Nick knew he could put together a good sandwich, among other things. “Why don’t you sit at the table and I’ll bring it to you.”
“Thanks.” She added some more milk to her cup, heated it in the microwave again and sat at the kitchen table.
Nick made a half a sandwich for himself. He didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable eating alone. He wanted a chance to talk and get to know her, and she needed to relax before she’d open up to him. In a couple of days, he’d have the dock and boat fixed, so he didn’t have much time to win her over.
“Here you go.” He put the small dinner plate in front of her, then settled himself across the table with his own snack. “No swooning now.”
She smiled and took a bite. “Mmm.” Her eyes rounded with surprise as she chewed and swallowed. “This is good. I thought you meant I’d faint because it’s awful.” She ate some more.
“See, I’m not all bad.” He pushed his sandwich around on his plate.
“I’m sure you’re not, but you have to admit finding a drunk, rain-soaked man outside is unusual. What were you doing out on the lake by yourself and dressed in a tux?”
“I’m a businessman who needed a little downtime. Some cancelled appointments gave me the opportunity to spend a couple of days on the boat. I left a black-tie affair in Seattle, went straight to the airport and made my way to the Laketon marina, where I keep my boat. I was out on the lake when the storm blew in, and I hit a submerged log. You know the rest.”
“So you live in Seattle?”
“Yes, most of the time. I prefer the country though. Where do you live?”
“Portland, but I travel a lot for work.”
“Have you always been a photographer?”
“I can’t imagine doing anything else.”
“A smooth evasion. All right, then tell me about your insomnia.”
“I know why you’re doing this.” Her gaze lowered. “And it won’t work.”
“Why?”
She sighed. “You’re being attentive because you want sex—and it won’t work because I’m me. I have ethics about becoming involved with anyone while I’m on the job, even if I’m attracted to them.”
“So you’re attracted to me?”
“I didn’t say that.”
“You think I’m ugly?”
“I didn’t say that, either.” She grinned and popped the last bite of sandwich into her mouth.
“Okay, I pass visuals. What don’t you like then?”
She drank some milk and pushed her plate aside. “It doesn’t matter what I think about you.”
“I don’t believe that any more than you do.” Nick folded his arms on the edge of the table. “My backrubs are better than my sandwiches.”
“I won’t get involved with you.” Her pretty pink lips curled into another smile, and she tilted her head curiously. “Backrubs?”
“Oh, yeah…but I’d have to touch you.”

Once again I am perusing the lives of Janet Reynolds and Sean O’Malley. I am almost finished with the second chapter. This book begins a year after her ordeal from Stalked(available now @ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CEU5R3S).  Even though Stalked is a stand alone Novella, I wasn’t satisfied. I needed to bring to life the what happened after it was all over. This is where Kidnapped had come in to play. Everything is topsy turvy in this novella. I am going to release the first chapter as a teaser in the near future. This novel will be available June 11, 2016. Next month I will bring you the cover reveal.

A full synopsis will also be available. I wanted to let the world know I am making progress with Kidnapped. Happy reading everyone. Have a great week!

Book: Hurt Me
Author: Jeri Williams
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Goodreads Book Link
Synopsis

Hurt Me the second book in the Me novel series that continues Deklan and Harley’s journey from Breathe Me.
What happens when you wake up from the nightmare that you’ve been living? Do you start living a happy normal life, one that you’ve always dreamed of, or do you start a new nightmare?
Harley did it. She survived, thanks to Deklan, but now…she is left with hard truths and different emotions; what she thought was the end, was only the beginning. Harley has to navigate through these changes while deciding on who she is and where she fits in Deklan’s life because she is coming to learn that when someone saves you, even from yourself, you hero worship them. You hero worship them so much they become your everything. Their wants turn into your needs, their needs into your obsessions, their obsessions into your life. Finally you come to a point where this worshiping, this obsession, will either heal you or hurt you.

Will Harley be healed from her past or hurt by it?

Author Bio

Jeri Williams lives a super fabulous lifestyle (by fabulous, she means kinda lame) in the hot Florida sun and loves reading of any kind (except instruction manuals and cereal boxes). She has always written stories and made her family listen to them since she was young, although this is her first book she has ever published. She is a mom of an up-and-coming Jerry Seinfeld (in girl form) and also enjoys being right and knowing everything, although she is hardly ever right and really doesn’t know anything and is obsessed with inventing miniature zoo animals you can carry around in your pocket (although not really).

My Review of Hurt Me by Jeri Williams

I have had the delightful pleasure to read Hurt Me by Jeri Williams. This book is about a woman who after spending her entire life being abused. Deals with the aftermath of that abuse and struggles to move forward in her life. As she deals with the panic and anxiety she is determined to get her life back and be happy.
This book has hit a personal nerve with me because I have dealt with depression and an abusive ex-husband. I have not been in the same situation as Harley in the book. I could relate to her feelings of giving up and hopelessness due to her abuser. This was touching because not many book out their ordeal with this type of abuse and what the person does to overcome her feelings.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read. This would make the perfect complement to any book lovers ongoing list of reads to add to the collection.

Excerpt

“You’re on a total pussy high.”
Immediately I bite, “I’m not…That’s…that’s not even a thing.”
“It’s a thing,” Chance corrects before downing his own bottle of water. “And you’re on it.”
“It’s cute,” Becca backs him.
“I’m not cute,” I gripe.
“Not when your forehead wrinkles like that.” Becca points as Chance laughs. “So, what’s her name?”
“She doesn’t have a name because there is no her.” When her mouth opens to argue, I snip, “You have a chair to be flipped around in. Are you done?”
Becca continues to tease me with a tap on the chest. “You must really like her.”
I do. I really fucking do. It’s a growing problem. Part of me knows it’ll pass. It always does. It’s just….usually passed by now. That’s gotta be what’s throwing me off. I’ll get over it and just enjoy fucking her rotten until I do. There’s no need to pull my friends into something that’s not gonna last longer than another week. And it won’t. While I’m doing shit I don’t normally do like cook dinner, give back rubs, and spend the night at her apartment, it doesn’t mean it’s not temporary. Why are you looking at me like I’m a moron?

Author Bio

From a young age L.J. Stock was led by her imagination. From the moment she could read she fell into worlds where trees could talk and little girls could move things with their minds.

In no hurry to grow up, she found stories all around her, in the forests of Plym Bridge, the moss covered hills of Dartmoor, then, as she grew older, the wide spread city of Houston, where she currently resides and works. A constant daydreamer, she hopes that one day, her passion can become something more than just a hobby for her.

Still led by her imagination, the worlds have slowly grown from childish adventures to urban fantasies and romances. With inspirational authors such as Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, Judy Blume, John Grisham and Stephen King guiding her through her life so far, L.J. Stock has finally decided that it is time for her to go for gold and try land herself on someone else’s future list of favorites.

Putting words on paper is as essential as breathing to her, but on the rare occasions that she isn’t writing, she can be found with a video game remote in hand or curled up on the couch with her pup and a good book. Music is also such an important part of her life, it’s a wonder there isn’t a background soundtrack playing wherever she goes.

A good girl to most, a bad girl to a few, L.J. believes that every genre should be attempted and is more than likely to have tried to release three hundred series’ ranging from vampires and werewolves, to dystopian and even classic romance, before she reaches even middle age. At least, that’s the plan for now.

Jacquelyn Vargovich

I have been talking so much about my new book. Now it’s time to show everyone a short Excerpt from this book due to be released on March 17th.

Prologue

Sometimes conscience rears its ugly head and the killer would have to think about the atrocities he had been committing. Conscience was a feeble being and could be killed easily. His own was especially weak and he believed that gave him a modicum of freedom from the chains that most of the world population placed themselves in. murder is creativity, he thought to himself.
Killing is an art and he was a patron of the arts. How else could he show the world his talents if he had no canvas? The human body was his canvas and it was the best canvas that anyone could have. He planned to make the best use of it.
